On Friday, July 25th, 2025, we invite you to discover a different side of Taiwan:

Taiwan is more than a tech hub. It’s an island shaped by nature. From towering mountain ranges and dramatic coastlines to monsoon-driven climates and rich ecosystems, Taiwan’s geography has deeply influenced its people, culture, and regional dynamics.

Join us for an evening where we explore Taiwan through the lens of geography and island studies. How does the landscape shape identity? What do regional patterns tell us about society and development? Whether you’re curious about Taiwan or passionate about geography, this event will offer fresh perspectives and thoughtful exchange.

Co-hosted with EGEA (European Geography Association) Berlin, this event brings together students, researchers, travelers, and anyone interested in Taiwan’s natural and human geography.
